Chocolate Butter Icing

A great icing for chocolate cake, when made well it is like a chocolate cream. Will ice more than 45 cup cakes.

This recipe for Chocolate Butter Icing serves 24 people.

Time required: 5 minutes
(5 minutes to prepare, no cooking required)

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 250 g butter, softened
  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder, we use Cadburys
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 6 cups of icing sugar

How to make Chocolate Butter Icing:

  1. Sift the icing sugar and cocoa together in a large bowl.
  2. Add in the butter and a bit of milk and mix with a hand beater
  3. Keep adding milk to you obtain the right consistency that is required for icing the cake.

Recipe Notes:

You can vary the amount of milk.
