Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry

This recipe for Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry serves 4 people.

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 red pepper - capsicum
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp root ginger, grated
  • 500 g boneless chicken pieces
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 2 tbsp peanut oil
  • 2 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2 tsp chicken stock powder

How to make Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry:

  1. Crush, peel and chop garlic. Peel onion and cut into quarters, separating the layers. Cut broccoli into florets. Peel broccoli stem and cut into strips. Cut pepper in half and remove core. Cut flesh into thin strips. Cut chichen into thin strips. Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan. Stir fry garlic, onion, ginger, broccoli and pepper for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from wok and set aside. Stir fry chicken for 2 to 3 minutes or until just cooked. Mix soy sauce, sherry, sugar, chicken stock powder and cornflour together. Return broccoli mixture to wok and pour in soy mixture. Heat through and serve immediately.
