Beef pasta bake

This recipe for Beef pasta bake serves 6 people.

(20 minutes to prepare, then cook for 35 minutes)

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 200 g spaghetti
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • ⅓ cup of tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped fresh
  • ¼ cup of parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 150 g bacon pieces
  • 500 g mince beef
  • 420 g tomato soup
  • 2 cups of pizza cheese

How to make Beef pasta bake:

  1. Add pasta to a large pan of boiling water; boil, uncovered, until just tender. Drain; cool. Combine pasta, eggs and cheese in a large bowl; mix well. Arrange pasta mixture over base of a greased, heatproof dish (8 cup capacity).
  2. Heat oil in a large pan. Add onion, garlic and bacon; cook, stirring, until onion is soft. Add mince; cook, stirring, until lightly browned. Add undiluted soup and tomato paste; simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Stir in parsley.
  3. Spoon beef mixture over pasta mixture; sprinkle with pizza cheese.
  4. Cook, uncovered, in a moderate oven, 180 degrees celcius, for about 20 minutes, or until lightly browned and hot.
  5. Serve pasta bake with salad.
